When one is looking for a career to venture into, it always seem disturbing and tasking  but it’s not so as one need to put into consideration many options he has to make the right choice. In this post i would be sharing with you a few steps that would help you choose the right career that fits you..




1. Self evaluation.
    This is very important as you need to identify what you love and what you are good at. You should also match your skills with the type of job you are considering so as to know if you are compatible with it. Your personality also matters a lot so you can adapt easily to any environment you find yourself.

 For example an introvert would be able to adapt more in an environment that’s quiet and doesn't have much people around while an extrovert would prefer a busy place that’s bustling with a lot of people. Whichever person you are, you need to find a suitable working environment for yourself.

2. Have a vision.
    One of the factors you should take into consideration is the means of the actualization of your dream. You need to identify your goals either short or long term goals while short terms goals might be ranging from 6 months-3 years, long term goals might be ranging from 3-7 years to achieve them. You ought to know what you want to achieve and strive early to fulfill them by choosing a suitable career.

3. Have passion for it.
    Before you make your choice you should investigate about the occupation and know if it’s one that you would like. You should always choose a career that will give you the utmost satisfaction without regrets though it’s normal to change jobs along the line but it’s not always the best. Most importantly, you should always choose a career that makes you happy and also encourages you to work harder.

4. Related to your field of study.
    In recent times, people are found working in areas that are not related to their study which is commendable in respect to their versatility. But it is recommended that you focus on a career that's related to the course you studied in the university as this would provide you with more insights on the job and enable you perform well.

5. Scheduling.
    In as much as you need to find a job you should be careful not to loose on the other end by depriving yourself or family of the necessary attention they need. Your career has to be flexible so you can have time for yourself and family especially if you are married.

6. Make research.
    Finally, you should have a list of possible careers you would like to pick  from and start doing intense study on them. You could also ask people questions by engaging them in meaningful conservations and conducting mini interviews to get more insights on your prospective career. Consulting those in the field already would provide you with more a first-hand knowledge on how to go about it.
